Dear CM3 parents,
This week we began our lesson by reviewing the topics we had learned: 1) God is our creator, Father, and shepherd; 2) God created us out of his love and He wants us to be happy and together.
Then we touched on the idea that even though everyone has a father in this world, yet we have the same Father in heaven. Every day we get to talk to our father at home. How do we keep in touch with our heavenly Father? Through prayers, of course. Then, what should we pray when we talk to God? In the Bible Jesus taught us how to pray to our Father in heaven. Our students picked up quickly to find the original "Our Father" in the Bible. Later, they were grouped in pair to work on "Our Father" puzzle.
Not only did Jesus teach us how to pray to our heavenly Father, he also demonstrated to us that he was an obedient son who fulfilled what his Father asked him to do. We can easily have the notion that obedience means automatic response to a command, but the root word for obedience means "to hear". An obedient person is one who listens with an understanding heart to what is being said.
We ended our session by watching a music video which is attached for you to enjoy. The name of the song is "This is my father's world".
Hope we all follow Jesus to learn to listen to what God, our Father, is talking to us every day.
